Welcome to Constant Collectible. Where we provide YOUR with all the news and reviews from a world of GEEK culture. Hope you have a nice stay!

Greetings fellow geeks, freaks, and nerds! BOOM Studios has given us all a great origins story to the Expanse TV show over on the SyFy Channel. If you haven't seen the show yet then I highly suggest checking it out. It's full of fun, thrills, chills, and adventure. Reading this brief origin story before watching the TV show won't ruin the show or spoil it for you, and if you're only pat of the way into watching it you're also safe. You'll actually have an advantage over the rest of us who have been watching it from the beginning.

Here's the nitty gritty...

The Expanse Vol. 1 OGN Publisher: BOOM! Studios Writer: James S.A. Corey, Hallie Lambert, Georgia Lee Artist: Huang Danlan Cover Artist: Rahzzah Price: $14.99 Synopsis:

  • Based on the bestselling books and tying into the hit Syfy television series, The Expanse: Origins reveals the untold origins of the crew members of the Rocinante, including an exclusive, never-before-seen story featuring fan-favorite character, Detective Miller.
  • Features all-new stories by series creator James S.A. Corey, written by Hallie Lambert and Georgia Lee, and illustrated by Huang Danlan. Collected in print for the first time.

The artist, Huang Danlan, has contributed his unique style to other great works including; BOOM Studios VENUS, and the August 2016 issue of The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers 2016 Annual. I just dove into Venus today and so Far I'm liking the story line and Huang's artistry.

You'll notice that the last story is about the Detective Miller, who happens to be one of my favorite characters from the series and the books. This one out of the 5 listed above is my favorite, it just sheds more light on the darkened soul of this specific character.

Pick this one up if you're a fan of the TV series and or the books. If you haven't seen the show or would like to do a little catching up and re-watch season 2, currently airing every Wednesday at 10/9c. If you haven't heard yet, Season 3 has been approved and will return to us later this year with 13 episodes.

Go check this one out! Let me know what you think, let's talk.
