The Toy Box: @Cryptozoic Set To Release The Flash Trading Cards Season 2

Cryptozoic Entertainment, leading creator of board games, trading cards, and collectibles, and Warner Bros. Consumer Products, on behalf of DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Television, today announced the May 24 release of The Flash Trading Cards Season 2. Based on the second season of the TV series, which depicts Barry Allen’s heroic adventures as The Flash, the set features a 72-card Base Set; three Chase Sets; randomly inserted Autograph, Wardrobe, and Prop Cards; and a one-of-a-kind randomly inserted Redemption Card.

Signers for the set include fan-favorite actors Grant Gustin (who portrays Barry Allen/The Flash), Wentworth Miller (Leonard Snart/Captain Cold), Teddy Sears (Jay Garrick/Zoom), Victor Garber (Prof. Martin Stein), Shantel VanSanten (Patty Spivot), Peyton List (Lisa Snart/Golden Glider), Katie Cassidy (Black Siren), Rick Cosnett (Det. Eddie Thawne), Violett Beane (Jesse Wells), and John Wesley Shipp (Henry Allen/Jay Garrick).

The set’s Wardrobe and Prop Cards both contain actual portions of items seen in the show. The three Chase Sets include “STR PWR Character Bios,” focusing on heroic characters; “Metas,” showing super powered characters, most of them villainous; and Cisco Ramon’s memorable lines. The single Redemption Card in the set can be sent in for the actual “Key to the City” prop used in the Season 2 episode “The Man Who Saved Central City,” in which The Flash is celebrated by the entire city.

The trading cards capture the high-speed action and drama of Season 2 of The Flash, as Barry Allen (a.k.a., The Flash) takes on the evil speedster Zoom and numerous other meta-humans from both his Earth and the alternate universe known as Earth-2. As usual, he counts on the support of his family— his father Henry Allen, his adopted father Det. Joe West, and long-time love Iris West—as well as the brilliant team from S.T.A.R. Labs—Caitlin Snow and Cisco Ramon. His circle expands with new love interest Patty Spivot, Earth-2’s Harrison Wells, and the mysterious Jay Garrick, who claims to be The Flash from Earth-2. Pushed to his limits, Barry searches for a way to increase his speed so he can keep up with Zoom and save the world.
The Flash Trading Cards Season 2 will be available at retailers nationwide upon their release.
