KONG.jpg King Kong was created by American filmmaker Merian C. Cooper and hit the big screen in 1933.  In the original film, the character's name is Kong, a name given to him by the inhabitants of "Skull Island" in the Indian Ocean, where Kong lives along with other over-sized animals such dinasaurs. An American film crew, led by Carl Denham, captures Kong and takes him to New York City to be exhibited as the "Eighth Wonder of the World".

In 2005 Director Peter Jackson remade King Kong and now 12 years later we are headed back to Skull Island.
