Screen Shot 2016-04-27 at 6.58.18 PM.jpg The guys over at Denver Comic Con have been informed of the guest Carrie Fisher will not be attending this years convention on June 17-19, 2016 due to her shooting schedule.

Here's the statement:

Carrie Fisher’s shooting schedule on the upcoming Star Wars Episode 8 film now conflicts with her scheduled appearance at Denver Comic Con June 17 – 19, 2016. As a result, she will be unable to attend the Denver event.

“Denver Comic Con is sorry to learn that Carrie won’t be joining us this year,” said Denver Comic Con director Christina Angel. “She’ll be missed here this summer, but, we couldn’t be happier that she’ll be in the next installment of the Star Wars saga.”

Denver Comic Con’s guest list is currently slated to include Stan Lee (Marvel Comics), Ralph Macchio (Karate Kid), John Barrowman (Arrow), Arthur Darvill (DC’s Legends of Tomorrow), Katee Sackoff (Battlestar Galactica), Karl Urban (Star Trek), Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder (Vampire Diaries), Carmen Bicondova, David Mazouz, Morena Baccarin, Robin Lord Taylor and Sean Pertwee (Gotham), Clark Gregg (Agents of SHIELD) and Haley Atwell (Agent Carter). This list will continue to be updated as new guests are added.

How do you feel about the absence of Carrie Fisher? I personally am not bothered since we might see her a little more in Star Wars: Episode VIII. Let us know what you think in the comment section below.
