COSMIC LOVE, a new comic collection inspired by the music of Florence + the Machine, on @kickstarter now.

Indie comic publisher Red Stylo Media has announced a new comic fanthology inspired by the music of British rock’s Florence + the Machine. COSMIC LOVE is a curated selection of original comic inspired by over a decade of music by the phenom performer Florence Welch of Florence + the Machine.

COSMIC LOVE is a celebration of love in all forms. Contributing artists were challenged to create original stories inspired by their favorite Florence + the Machine songs. The result is a collection of comic shorts that touch on the ethereal and diverse themes that inform the music of this beloved LGBTQ icon.

The collection was first proposed by featured cover artist Rachel Perciphone and is edited by Jennie Wood. Ms. Wood is the creator of the critically acclaimed, award-winning Flutter graphic novel series (Dark Horse Comics) featured in The New York Times, Boston Globe, and one of the best LGBTQ graphic novels of 2013 and 2015, according to The Advocate.

Matching the format of a previous music-inspired title, Baroque Pop, A Comic Anthology inspired by the music of Lana Del Rey, the COSMIC LOVE anthology will be printed at 7” × 7” to physically resemble a 45 RPM record cover.

COSMIC LOVE features short comics and vignettes by: • Rachel Perciphone • Jennie Wood + Josh Segal • Vita Ayala + Kat Taylor • Seth Greenwood + Angela Zhang • Enrica Jang + Y. Sanders + Jan Velazquez + Mark Mullaney • Mario Candelaria + Adam Ferris + Lesley Atlansky + Scott Ewan • Zack Rocklin-Waltch + Taren Beatrice
