By Jhonen Vasquez and Aaron Alexovich, with Megan Lawton and Simon Troussellier
“Any reader who misses ZIM— one of Nickelodeon’s most original and entertaining cartoon characters—will be pleased to hear that Jhonen Vasquez, creator of Invader Zim has successfully ported the concept and the tone of the show to the sequential page.”
– COMIC BOOK RESOURCES
“…god this issue was funny. If you’re a ZIM fan and you aren’t reading it yet, I just don’t get you. I just don’t GET you.” – AIPT
$1 Issue #1
by Zander Cannon
“Kaijumax was one of the most interesting books last year. Zander Cannon is an underappreciated gem of a cartoonist and deserves all the hype that the first season of Kaijumax got.” – MULTIVERSITY COMICS
“Okay, a comic about a maximum security prison island for giant monsters should not be as emotionally devastating as Zander Cannon’s Kaijumax… What could easily be a light, wacky book is instead, under the deft hand of Cannon, a compelling prison story with a tremendous amount of heart.” – IGN
LETTER 44: $10 Volume 1 AND LETTER 44: $1 Issue #1
by Charles Soule and Alberto Jiménez Alburquerque
with Guy Major and Dan Jackson
“[Letter 44] presents a very plausible, well-researched scenario on how NASA—or an entity like it—might mount an extensive, high-stakes space exploration mission to save mankind. The story touches on design and construction, astronaut selection, challenges of lengthy manned space travel and even the political influences that have an all-too-real effect on space budgeting and planning. I’m a fan!”
– Ed Stanton, NASA Orion Engineer, Kennedy Space Center
“…Letter 44 never lets up, never falters. I found this an extremely satisfying work of original, sweeping science fiction in comic book form.” – BOINGBOING
“This comic has it all: terrorism, politically motivated sex, sex in space, alien-human hybrids, orbital weapon platforms, Biblical allusions and underground bunkers—plus plenty of riffs on real history.” – PASTE MAGAZINE
The Life After: $10 Volume 1 AND The Life After: $1 Issue #1
