Supergirl continues to build its character base. Entertainment Weekly reports that Ian Gomez will be joining the cast of Supergirl as Snapper Carr. Snapper Carr will be a recurring character and according to the Entertainment Weekly Snapper Carr will be the new Editor-in-Chief of CatCo Magazine.
Lucas “Snapper” Carr was created by Gardner Fox (writer) and Mike Sekowsky(penciller), and made his first appearance in The Brave and the Bold in February 1960. From 1960 to 1969, Snapper Carr appeared as a supporting character to the Justice League of America, a superhero team.
Supergirl is also adding Floriana Lima who will be playing Maggie Sawyer. Maggie was introduced in Superman (2nd series) in April 1987, as Captain Sawyer of the Metropolis Special Crimes Unit, a special branch of the Metropolis police force that handles super powered menaces when Superman is unavailable. Maggie mostly replaced Inspector Henderson from the previous comics as Superman’s main police contact.
