The CW and Berlanti Productions have announced that season 1 of Supergirl will air the entire season on Monday nights beginning August 1, 2016. The CW will air two episodes a week in order for fans to catch up before the season 2 launch on October 10, 2016.
Since Supergirl has officially moved from CBS to The CW we will just have to wait and see if we will see more cross over events with Arrow, The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow.
I think it is a great idea for The CW to air the first season of Supergirl in its entirety on The CW. In the first season of Supergirl averaged 7.68 million viewers. In the season opener it landed 12.95 million viewers, but dropped 32% of its viewers for episode 2. By airing season 1 and allowing fans to catch up, see for the first time or rewatch season 1 before the season 2 opener is a great Idea.
I am myself am cord cutter and the only episode I have seen is Episode 1 and that was because I was one of the lucky ones to see it during San Diego Comic Con 2015 Warner Bros. Presents A Night of DC Entertainment. So personally I am looking forward to what The CW has planned, or if you prefer to own your own copy head over to Amazon.com pick up up yourself a copy of Season 1 on Blu-Ray.
