First and foremost, I want to thank every retailer for the support you’ve shown my work over the years! I’ve heard from countless fans at many conventions about how their local store hand sold them copies of Rat Queens and recommended it them which led to them taking a chance on something new. And speaking of something new, I want to talk to you a little bit about my series, Bounty, coming out from Dark Horse on July 6th. I’ve teamed up with Mindy Lee and Leonardo Olea to bring you a fun action romp that even the teens can read! It’s a colourful take on the cyberpunk genre, with that familiar sense of humour and adventure you have come to expect from my work.
The one thing I kept hearing about Rat Queens was that readers loved the message of the series and wanted to share it with their children but felt the content was too mature. I’ve always wanted to create a series that younger readers could enjoy yet still held onto the pieces that fans loved most about my comics. Bounty is exactly that, a series you can feel confident in recommending to a younger audience and current fans of my series that are already on the shelves.
We’ve been working hard on Bounty, and as I draft this letter to you, I’ve already completed the sixth issue script and the art team is very close behind! Making sure we have this in the hands of the retailers and press on a regular schedule is very important to all of us.
