Press Release: @WizardWorld Cruise Comic Con!

Press Release: @WizardWorld Cruise Comic Con!

The Norwegian Sky.

Yes, that’s right my fellow geeks and nerds! Wizard World is proud to present their first ever Wizard World Cruise. Oh yes, you read that correctly. A comic con aboard a cruise line. Here’s the Link to their site that gives all the juicy details.

The cruise is set to leave Miami, Florida on December 2nd and arrive in Nassau, Bahamas on the 5th aboard The Norwegian Sky.

Celebrities scheduled to appear include;

  •  Norman Reedus (The Walking Dead)
  •  Ernie Hudson (Ghostbusters)
  •  Barry Bostwick (The Rocky Horror Picture Show, “Spin City”)
  •  Sara Underwood (“Attack of the Show”)
  •  Billy Martin (lead guitarist/keyboardist, Good Charlotte; artist, “TMNT”)
  •  Phil Ortiz (animator, “The Simpsons,” “Muppet Babies”)
  •  cosplayers Jackie Craft, Abby Dark Star and Zen Dragon

Additional celebrities and creators to appear aboard Wizard World Cruise will be announced in the coming weeks.

Packages start at $749.00 per person. The Wizard World Cruise base package includes photos with the celebrities, all meals on board as well as open bar, a special cruise-only gift item and access to all Wizard World events on the ship.

The Norwegian Sky also comes fully equipped with a casino, spa, full gym, basketball/volleyball court, arcade, 10 bars (all included), four restaurants (included) and three of Norwegian’s famed specialty restaurants (which I’m assuming are not included in the base price).

Three nights aboard a massive cruise ship with a ton of fellow nerds and geeks running around all dressed up as their favorite characters, getting liquored up, possibly mingling with big celebrities….. sounds like a wet dream to most cosplayers and convention goers. Hell, I’ll bet more than one child is conceived on this inaugural cruise, HAHA!

This actually does sound interesting, I wonder if our boss will fork out the money to send a couple of us. What am I thinking? He never pays for anything! Guess I’ll have to start looking into packages.
