Deadline is reporting that The Boys have found a home on Cinemax. The Boys was created by Garth Ennis The Boys is a series that ran from 2006–2012 for Wildstorm and then Dynamite Entertainment. The Boys is set in a world where superheroes exist. However, most of the superheroes in the series’ universe are corrupted by their celebrity status and often engage in reckless behavior, compromising the safety of the world. Due to this issue the CIA created a superpowered team who are in charge of monitoring the superhero community; This team is known as The Boys.
The Boys will be produced by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg who are currently producing another Garth Ennis book over on AMC known as Preacher. Rogan and Goldberg will be joined by Supernatural writer Eric Kripke who will write the pilot script with Rogen and Goldberg co-directing.
