In a recent interview with JJ Abrams Entertainment Weekly was able to finally get the answer to what was on Kylo Ren’s table in his private quarters. It turns out that the table is covered in the ashes of his victims.
Director J.J. Abrams tells Entertainment Weekly, that the moment where Kylo Ren puts down the helmet was actually pulled from an earlier sequence, when he vows to finish what his grandfather started.
“The backstory is, that that table has the ashes of the enemies he’s killed,” he explains. “That moment was actually shot for, and meant to be used in, the scene where he was talking to the Vader mask.”
So at this point we have no clue who’s ashes are on Kylo’s trophy table. For all we know poor Lando could be there because if you didn’t notice he was NOWHERE to be seen in The Force Awakens. on a side note we do know who will be joining the table.
