The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that the search for young Han Solo is narrowing. The The shortlist includes Alden Ehrenreich (Hail, Caesar!), Jack Reynor (Transformers: Age of Extinction), and Taron Egerton (Eddie the Eagle). Over at Variety reporter Justin Kroll announced on Twitter that Blake Jenner (Everybody Wants Some) and Jack O’Connell (Unbroken) are also in the running.
As for story details it is unclear, but will deal with Solo’s Smuggling days and according to Disney CEO Bob Iger in an announcement last week the film will also feature Chewbacca.
The Young Han Solo movie will be written by Phil Lord and Chris Miller (The Lego Movie) and is written by Lawrence Kasdan and Jon Kasdan and is set to debut in theaters on May 25, 2018.

If I had to pick….. I’d go with Jack Reynor or Taron Egerton. Just my opinion though. I’d love to hear what the rest of the staff thinks though, lol.
I think Egerton will be good, but I really was hoping for Scott Eastwood
