On Screen: #Deadpool Banned in China

According to The Hollywood Reporter it is reported that China has denied the showing of the upcoming release of Deadpool due to its violence, nudity and graphic language.

Deadpool joins a list of several American movies banned from China, which include Noah, Crimson Peak and The Dark Knight.

Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

 

Deadpool is set for a February 12, 2016 release and stars: Morena Baccarin, Ryan Reynolds, Gina Carano and is directed by Tim Miller.
