He-Man and the Masters of the Universe is an American animated television series produced by Filmation based on Mattel’s toy line Masters of the Universe. The show, often referred to as simply He-Man, was one of the most popular animated children’s shows of the 1980s, and has retained a heavy cult following to this day.
In 1987 Cannon Film Studio decided to make a live action film. Masters of the Universe was the story of a prince turned warrior named He-Man battles against the dark lord Skeletor on the planet Eternia. He-Man and his comrades arrive on Earth and discover two teenage lovers to find the magical Cosmic Key. Directed by Gary Goddard written by David Odell and stars Dolph Lundgren (He-Man) and Frank Langella (Skelator). The movie was somewhat disappointing and according to Rotten Tomato it is rated 17% and only 41% audience approval.
Now for the 80’s this does not look bad, but thanks to Mike Furth and the music and trailer style of from Star Wars: The Force Awakens we get a completely different movie that I am ready to watch.
Now I don’t know about you, but this new trailer edit makes me want to see this movie, which is on Netflix right now. Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below. And if you see something you like share with a friend.
