With Star Wars Rogue one scheduled to be released on December 16, 2016 and the rumor is that we may get a cameo in the film, who could play Han Solo? Do we need a cameo? Why rush it? The yet to be titled Han Solo Star Wars Anthology film is not set to be released until May 25, 2018 so I say again why rush it?
One reason I can think about is to pick an actor to play the iconic Han Solo so Disney and LucasFilm can link the universe together much like the Marvel universe has done, which has been very successful in doing so. Since Disney has cast out almost all of Star Wars material except for official films and cartoon with very few books and comics it makes sense to help solidify the universe and one way of doing so is with cameos and appearances from characters associated with the current cannon properties.
But, who are the current candidates? The Alleged candidates who are being considered to play young Han Solo are as followed:
Emory Cohen (Brooklyn),
Scott Eastwood (The Longest Ride),
Ansel Elgort (The Fault in Our Stars),
Dave Franco (21 Jump Street),
Blake Jenner (Everybody Wants Some),
Logan Lerman (Fury),
Jack Reynor (Transformers: Age of Extinction) and Miles Teller (Whiplash).
I don’t know about you, but my money is on Scott Eastwood, but id Disney and LucasFilm want to go even younger I would think Logan Lerman would also be a good choice.
