According to Greg Nicotero the executive producer of The Walking Dead has announced that when the series returns on February 14, 2016 the upcoming episodes would be both “relentless” and “heartbreaking,” and we can expect a tragic event from the comic book series will be coming.
With the addition of Xander Berkeley as Gregory and Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Negan we can expect a tragic loss for a major character. In an interview with Empire Nicotero explained that “If you read the comic book, you know we’re climbing towards a major death”.
