in 2017, the Power Rangers are more popular than ever. Dive headfirst into our original, modern
ongoing Mighty Morphin Power Rangers series that will appeal to both nostalgic fans and new readers
who enjoy epic, action-adventure fantasy stories.
What It Is: Based on the long-running Power Rangers franchise, five teens from Angel Grove High are
granted superpowers and giant robot dinosaur Zords to defend Earth against the alien villain Rita
Repulsa. When Repulsa creates an evil Green Power Ranger by brainwashing recent transfer student
Tommy, the team is able to free him from her grasp and get him on their side. But with remnants of
Repulsa’s control still stirring in the back of Tommy’s mind, he must confront the fact he may be more of
a danger to his new team than a help. This is “Green Ranger: Year One.”

TURNCOAT #1 (of 4)
Retail Price: $3.99
Writer: Alex Paknadel
Artist: Artyom Trakhanov
Cover Artists:
Main: Artyom Trakhanov
Incentive Cover: Johnny Dombrowski
What’s to Love: Employing the most compelling elements of science fiction and the detective genre,
Turncoat is a gripping exploration of power vacuums and the legacy of oppression. Alex Paknadel
(Arcadia) and Artyom Trakhanov (Undertow) tell the story of a guilt-ridden protagonist through a grisly
quest for a truth. Turncoat will scratch that itch you have for dark sci-fi like Blade Runner, The Forever
War, and Neuromancer.
What It Is: 300 years since humanity was brutally subjugated by the alien race known simply as the
Management. Two years since these invaders abandoned Earth to return to their home world. Following
her participation in the brutal massacre of human-alien hybrids left behind by the Management,
resistance fighter Marta Gonzalez declines to join the new human government and starts her own
private detective agency instead. Gonzalez is forced to confront her own bloody past and acknowledge
the fact that the transition from oppression to emancipation is anything but clean.

Retail Price: $3.99
Writer: Roger Langridge
Artist: Andy Hirsch

What’s to Love: Roger Langridge (Abigail and the Snowman, The Musical Monsters of Turkey Hollow),
who has delighted us with his imaginative all-ages work for years, is teaming up with Andy Hirsch
(Adventure Time) to bring us a new twist within the world of Sherlock Holmes. What if the world’s
greatest detective wasn’t quite what he—or she—seemed?
What It Is: It’s a lovely day in 1930s London, right up until a giant stone lion comes to life and starts
wrecking the city! It seems like the perfect case for the world’s most famous detective, Sherlock Holmes.
Of course, Sherlock Holmes doesn’t actually exist; he is a fictional character created by housekeeper
Mrs. Hudson, who has been the real detective all along, writing Holmes’ adventures under the pen name
of John Watson and running around the city in disguise. With an overwhelmed case load she’ll need the
help of a precocious bunch of young detectives-in-training to solve the mystery of the living statues.
Baker Street will never be the same!

TPS, OGNS, AND HARDCOVERS

OH, KILLSTRIKE TP
Retail Price: $14.99
Writer: Max Bemis
Artist: Logan Faerber
Cover Artist: Logan Faerber
What’s to Love: Say Anything frontman Max Bemis writes a love letter to 1990s superhero comics in this
tongue-in-cheek homage to the era, featuring the art stylings of Logan Faerber—reminiscent of works by
Chip Zdarsky and Jeff Lemire. Much like Polarity, Oh, Killstrike is very personal to Bemis. Part twisted
buddy comedy, part profound coming-of-age story, we couldn’t stop smiling when reading Oh, Killstrike.
What It Is: Jared, a new father, fears parenthood. An old comics fan, he turns to them for comfort. But
when he unwittingly lets loose his favorite character, Killstrike—a single-minded, vengeance-loving antihero—onto
the world, Jared must find a way to send him back before he harms all the people he loves
the most. Collects the complete mini-series, issues #1-4.
