Sony Pictures Animation announced that the animated Spider-Man movie from Phil Lord and Chris Miller (The Lego Movie) has been delayed until December 21, 2018 and was previously announced to be released on July 20, 2018.
in an interview with IGN Miller spoke about the animated Spider-man movie and had this to say:
âI will say, it is not just another Peter Parker origin story that youâve seen 400 times,â and âIt is something totally unique and different and not like anything youâve seen. Thatâs all I can sayâĤ and youâre going to love it!â
It is not known of what is the reason for the delay, but Miller and Lord are working on the upcoming and untitled Han Solo movie for Disney and Lucasfilm. The two have also been working on the upcoming Flash movie for Warner Bros. Â So with their plate being full you can see why the delay.
