Trailer Nation: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice- Doomsday Arrives

Thanks to last night’s Jimmy Kimmel Live we now get a look at the new trailer where we are introduced to the being that kills Superman.  In the comics Doomsday is portrayed as a deadly monster born from the depths of ancient Krypton. His creation imbued him with few feelings, mostly hate and destruction which led to his destroying worlds and eventually finding Earth where he meets Superman.

Now as we can see in the trailer this does not seem to be the case.

Fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’ most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.

One of the best things about the trailer itself is seeing the DC Trinity on screen.  Superman, Batman and Wonderwoman together helps us understand the title a little better “Dawn of Justice”.  Now, whether or not we get to see Jason Momoa (Aquaman) in a more pivotal role is not known as of yet. Most likely we will get Aquaman at the end of the film or in a cut scene much like Marvel has done to further their character involvement throughout the Marvel Universe, but it is just a guess.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits the theatre on  March 25, 2016. Directed by Zack Snyder directed with script by Chris Terrio and David Goyer. Starring Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Jesse Eisenberg, Amy Adams, Holly Hunter, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne, and Jeremy Irons with an appearance by Jason Momoa and possibly Jena Malone and Scoot McNairy in unspecified roles.
