In the wake of Peter Parker’s death, will Miles Morales find the courage to put on the mask and become Spider-Man?
The character was created by writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Sara Pichelli, with Bendis and Marvel editor-in-chief Axel Alonso drawing inspiration from both U.S. President Barack Obama and American actor Donald Glover.
Miles Morales first appeared in Ultimate Fallout #4 (August 2011), following the death of Peter Parker. A teenager of Black Hispanic descent, Miles is the second Spider-Man to appear in Ultimate Marvel, an imprint with a separate continuity from the mainstream Marvel Universe.
Bard Tales Productions have created their fan film “Spider-Man Lives: A Miles Morales Story.” Debuting on their site over at spidermanlives.com. Spider-Man Lives: The Miles Morales Story was written and directed by Ivan Kander and was released on November 11, 2015. Kander focuses the story around character’s from the Ultimate Spiderman series comic.
