Hulu is ready to begin offering commercial free service and as of today the service is up and running. Hulu joins the ranks of Amazon Prime, Netflix, HBO Now and Showtime.
With an $11.99 price tag on the subscription it isn’t the most expensive service available, which belongs to HBO Now at $15 a month and it is definitely a little less than Netflix’s $8 a month or Amazon Prime’s $8.25 a month (after dividing the $100 Amazon Prime subscription across 12 months).
“Many of our customers have asked us for a commercial free option, and so today we are excited to introduce just that. Providing more choice for consumers is fundamental to the Hulu experience, in addition to an array of choices in content and devices, our customers can now choose to watch with or without commercials.”
Another bonus to Hulu’s streaming service is that they recently picked up the Epix plan from Netflix which will offer shows such as the Hunger Games, World War Z and Transformers: Age of Extinction.
