In a recent interview with Empire Magazine JJ Abrams address the questions of Kylo Ren and his ties to the Dark Side. Many fans have speculated that Ren is and agent of the Dark Side and that he is a Sith. We know him as Kylo Ren and NOT Darth Ren.
In the interview JJ Abrams has a simple answer “Kylo Ren is not a Sith. He works under Supreme Leader Snoke, who is a powerful figure on the Dark Side of the Force.”
in other reports Kylo Ren is not his real name, but he is a “Knight of Ren” and is obsessed with Darth Vader and is a member of the First Order. Here is what JJ Abrams has to say about The First Order: “That all came out of conversations about what would have happened if the Nazis all went to Argentina but then started working together again? What could be born of that? Could The First Order exist as a group that actually admired The Empire? Could the work of The Empire be seen as unfulfilled? And could Vader be a martyr? Could there be a need to see through what didn’t get done?”
This continually adds more mystery on the direction of the Star Wars Universe and really makes me more and more curious.
