Casting Call: The Killing Joke

In a previous post announcing that Bruce Timm was working on The Killing Joke we speculated if Mark Hamill would reprise his role as The Joker. Now as of July 17th Mark Hamill has not voiced any discussion concerning the possible involvement, but thanks to Collider.com it would seem that YES, Mark Hamill will voice The Joker.   In their post, collider is reporting “that Hamill has already recorded his voice acting for the film, which is due out direct-to-video next year.”

Mark Hamill as Joker

The Killing Joke Written by Allen Moore and drawn by Brian Bolland is a possible origin story for the Joker. In this version, he is a failed comedian who gets involved with a desperate criminal scheme. Batman foils their plans, leaving the Joker disfigured, embittered, and insane. This is also the story in which Barbara Gordon is paralyzed, eventually leading her to become Oracle.
