The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Jimmy Akingbola (Hobly City) will be joining season 4 of Arrow. Akingbola will be playing Baron Blitzkreig a recurring villain in Oliver Queen’s flashback sequences. Blitzkrieg will be the leader of a group called Shadowspire, which has ties to Deathstroke.
Shadowspire supplied South American drug cartels with the necessary tools of their trade: weapons, transportation, high technology and reliable intelligence. Shadowspire’s tentacles penetrate every corrupt government and drug cartel on two continents. They even had the resources and know-how to create their own weaponized viruses.
Arrow is set to return Wednesday, Oct. 7 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
