The wait is over. No longer is Apple the exclusive holder of the new stand alone streaming service HBO Now.
Early this week the stand alone streaming service exclusive contract concluded and is now available on Android devices (OS 4.2 and later) and Amazons Fire tablets. Support for Googles Chromecast, Android TV, Amazon Fire TV, and the Fire TV Stick will soon follow.
HBO Now debuted this past April and was an exclusive deal with Apple, but is now headed to Google and Android. HBO Now service will set you back $15 a month and gives you access to all the same great content in the HBO catalog. subscribers gain access to well over 2,000 original titles, specials, sports and many non-HBO films, which you can see on the Cable portion of HBO.
