On Screen: Japanese Spider-Man

Spider-Man  or what is known as (スパイダーマン Supaidāman?) is a Japanese live-action Tokusatsu television series produced by Toei Company and is loosely based on Marvel’s Spider-Man.  The series lasted 41 episodes, which aired on the Wednesday 19:30 JST time slot of Tokyo Channel 12 from May 17, 1978, to March 14, 1979.

Supaidman is set to fight against the evil Iron Cross Army, led by the space emperor Professor Monster, a daredevil motorcyclist transforms into the famous Marvel Superhero, with a racecar and giant transforming robot at his disposal. Yeah, Thats right you read that correctly and if you don’t believe it then see for yourself.
