Star Wars Battlefront is set to be released on november 17, 2015. We are still waiting see how game play will look and will need to wait for E3 in June, but what we think we know is that the game play is set to revolve around iconic Star Wars battles located on Endor, Hoth, Tatooine including the battle of Jakku, which is a desert planet featured in the the recent Star Wars teaser trailer where we get to see the destroyed X-Wing and Star Destroyer. Star Wars Battlefront will also feature a wide range of modes for different types of battles, from larger 40-person competitive multi-player maps/battles to crafted missions that are played either in solo mode or with a friend via split-screen offline or cooperatively online.
Game’s design director, Niklas Fegraeus recently posted a letter regarding the state of play within the Battlefront “We have created new game modes and made new maps to cater to their specific experience. You could see a tiny snippet of this in our trailer where you saw the Fighter Squadron mode, where you engage in huge Starfighter battles over canyons big enough to be truly epic. Then, for those not in the mood for large scale battles, we have created Missions where players can, for example, take on armies of AI or test their piloting skills. All our Missions can be played either alone or cooperatively, making them perfect for some quick Star Wars action when you have a friend over.”
So as we wait for more details and some game play video all we can do is continue to enjoy the reveal trailer.
