TV Time: A Man Without Fear

imagesNetflix has finally released Marvel’s Daredevil Season 1.  Season 1 enters into Marvel’s cinematic universe during the rebuilding of New York after the events of Avengers. With all the superhero shows currently on TV such as Arrow, Flash, Gotham, S.H.I.E.L.D. along with several others and more on the way such as Supergirl and Teen Titans we have been inundated with the superheros, but Daredevil (a favorite character of mine) does not come across as a superhero.  Daredevil fights for the everyday man.  Daredevil is the guy who stands up and says NO. He’s the guy who is fed up with the system because no one will do anything due to corruption.

Daredevil is the first of four street level characters within the Marvel Universe that will be gracing us with their presence on screen through Netflix.  Jessica Jones is scheduled to be released followed next by Luke Cage and then Iron Fist all to be wrapped up in a mini series known as The Defenders.  The question is will we be introduced to other characters within the Netflix Universe? With Marvel owning other street level characters is their a chance we meet Frank Castle?  If so can we see Thomas Jane reprise his role.  We all know what he can do, especially if you have seen him do his laundry. If you havent I would suggest you look at an eailier post

No one knows the thoughts and ideas going through the mind of Jeoff Loeb the Executive Vice President, Head of Television of Marvel Entertainment, but one can wish. So For now we sit and enjoy our introduction to Matt Murdock, Foggy Nelson, Karen Paige and Wilson Fisk that can be seen on Netflix.

If you’re new to Daredevil here are some good story arches to jump into:

Daredevil: Yellow- Jeoff Loeb and Tim Sale

Daredevil: The Man Without Fear- Frank Miller and John Romita Jr.

Daredevil: Guardian Devil-Kevin Smith and Joe Quesada

Daredevil: Born Again-Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli
