Free Comic Book Day is only 29 days away.Free Comic Book day began in 2002 as an annual promotion of comic books and the local comic book store in conjunction with Diamond Comic Distributors. It is always held on the first Saturday in May and has become a great event for many local shops and the communities that have embraced it. What people are not aware of is that each store runs a little different. Some shops its a free for all on books and in some shops you will need to make a purchase in order to get a copy of the free comic book. Free Comic Book day is not free for the retail store. Each store needs to buy copies of the books they wish to carry in their store so check with your local shops and see how they handle or participate in Free Comic Book Day. So support your local shop.
